SAVVY Gold Coast homeowners are making big bucks by renting out their properties to film producers and photographers.

With an increase in TV, film and photography projects on home soil due to the pandemic, the need for a catalogue list of production-ready locations has recently exploded.

A Perfect Space is a private database working closely with hirers to determine exactly what they want.

Property owners list their spaces on the platform and in turn have the opportunity to make money when their space is hired out.

A Perfect Space founder Kate Tiller identified the gap in the market after experiencing the challenges that came with location scouting.

“While creating the TV series in 2007, I felt the complete frustration of scouting struggling to find the right location that was on brief and within budget across regional Victoria,” Ms Tiller said.

“I wasted time and money scouting manually to only discover locations that didn’t quite meet the brief. And so, the genesis of the idea was born for A Perfect Space.”
